Use the shiny Mirror to deflect the deadly Laser, but watch out for a rogue Hammer that may smash your chances of winning. Hammers, Lasers, Mirrors is the card game version of the classic finger game (because it needed to be made in card form). Out-guess the other players to end the game with the most cards.
- Object: To have the most cards.
- Number of Players: 3 - 4
- Play Time: 15 Minutes

In The Box
- 18 Hammer Cards
- 18 Laser Cards
- 18 Mirror Cards
- 3 Ice Cube Cards
- 2 Null Cards
- 1 Dynamite Card
The Rules
Setup
Deal all of the cards out ensuring that everyone has an equal number of cards (20 cards each for 3 players, and 15 cards each for 4 players).
Gameplay
Play happens simultaneously. Each player plays a card face down. After all players have played a card, flip all of the cards over. The winning object takes the trick. Objects always beat objects reguardless of numerical value.
- Mirror Beats Laser
- Laser Beats Hammer
- Hammer beats Mirror
If two cards show the same winning object thet the one with the higher numerical value wins the trick. If there is no clear winner, then the trick is a stalemate. Put the stalemate aside and the winner of the next trick wins any and all prevous ones.
Special Cards
- Dynamite Card: Dynamite blows up eveything! You win the trick even if a Null or Ice Cube card is played.
- Null Card: Null cards cancel the trick. No one wins.
- Ice Cube Card: Ice Cube cards force a stalemate. Null and Dynamite cards trump the Ice Cube card.
Winning the Game
When all of the cards have been played, count the number of cards you have won. The player with the most cards wins the game.
Extended Play
If you have more than 4 players, the winner stays on while the rest rotate in and out. Keep track of the scores and play a fixed number of games.
